Free Climbing itineraries

The island of Elba is a beautiful place where it is possible to practice sport to the opened air in contact with the nature. Many are the opportunities, and among these a sport that is always more famouse is Free Climbing or rock climbing, it can be practiced along the granite cliffs of the western, elbana coast or long Costa dei Gabbiani situated in the east south side of Elba.

Many are the trails of different levels to climb, they are adapted for beginners and for expert climbers too. Some ways leave from the beach, like Scalata del Ginepro on the Costa dei Gabbiani in the district of Capoliveri. On the western side that goes from Fetovaia to Sant' Andrea many are the zones with equipped ways reinforced with iron where practice free climbing to Elba.

We suggest a group of itineraries for free climbing with photos and detailed descriptions, selected from the experts Renato Bardi, Federal Instructor F.A.S.I. (Scrambled up Federation Sport Italian) and Nordic Walking instructor.
