Percorso Laghetto Rosso



The route of Laghetto Rosso is 6,22 kilometers long and is located in the Elba Gravity Bike. It begins at the foot of Monte Giove, near the ruins of a military fortress of the XV century and ends at the provincial street of Parata.

Turning left of the route there is a wide track in the valley of Rio Albano, coasting the wonderful holly oak woods. Hier the track becomes tighter and it is possible to traverse it throught a bike. After the wood, not too far, You will arrive at Laghetto Rosso, characterized by a particolar red coloration as the typical water of that areas. The water has the red colour because of minerals and irons inside the land.

From that little lake there are the indication for the Termine and after a kilometer high, at the spitz of the mountain, it is possible to do a little deviation on a track that goes through the areas of the mineral processing.

At the main track descent with a bike and you must turn right before the Agriturismo Il Termine, where at the last part of the track, it brings You to the provincial street of Parata.
