Botanical Garden - Ottone

Easy and interesting itinerary through the Botanical Garden and the Ottone beach.

--INTRODUCTION--

About 2 km itinerary of normal difficulty

Starting point: Camping Rosselba

Let's start from the entrance of Camping Rosselba, where, after paying the entrance fee, we can walk in the wonderful Botanical Garden, located inside the campsite. We pass a large wrought iron gate from the tropical garden and we can immediately see the large sign showing the path and the location of various plants (coming from South America, Africa, the Far East and Australia).

We proceed along the paths and terraces immersing us in a unique exotic atmosphere; under every plant, tree or shrub we find the information card which describes the name and the continent of origin. After visiting the botanical garden, we put on to the road open to vehicles and we go down to the sea, thanks to the path that descends along the beautiful Hotel Villa Ottone. We walk along the long and narrow sand of the beach which takes its name from the Villa, and we enjoy in peace and quiet the wonderful view on Portoferraio.
