The houses of Letizia
Maria Letizia Bonaparte, Napoleon's mother lived, during the exile of the Emperor in Romolino on Elba Island. She had two mansions, one in Portoferraio and the other one in Marciana.
In Portoferraio in Via Ferrandini is the historic house where mother Letizia spent much time during their stay on Elba. Thanks Giorgio Manganaro a plaque was mounted on the facade of the house, which is reminiscent of the period between 1814-1815, in which the house one of the most important women in the life of the Emperor Napoleon lived.
On the facade of the Municipality of Marciana recalls a second plaque on the residence of the mother Letizia in Marciana Casa Vadi in Via Delle Fonti, during the period in which the emperor, in the wilderness of Madonna del Monte lived.
