Fight between sisters

From Corriere Elbano - News of February 23, 1960
A fight between sisters.

In the aftermath of a disagreement in regards to the passage of trucks transporting sand on the land of Maria Bolano in the countryside of Capoliveri, on the 10th of April last year, she had a vivid argument with her sister Bolano Maria, 46, residing in Lacona.

Words were not enough because Emma, fearing Maria as she had a bottle in her hand, suddenly hit the sister with the halter of her donkey, causing her serious injuries which healed after seven days. The sisters have surely set peace, in fact there was no complaint made. However, the crime is still prosecutable via public action, therefore Emma appears at the hearing on charge of injuries against a relative of her.

The magistrate, hear the party, P.M and the defence lawyer Lupi, sentenced Emma Bolano to a detention period of one month and ten days conceding her extenuating circumstances, the suspension of the sentence for five years and that no mention of this fact was to be made on the legal certificate to be sent upon private request.
