from Rio Marina, AN ASSASSINATION against the Police station


A rush gesture committed by unknown people during the night of the 31st has moved to anger the entire population of Rio Marina . It was just past midnight , when a sudden and violent detonation woke up the residents of the Viale della Rimembranza. 

A bomb was thrown at the door of the Police Station , fortunately causing only the breaking of the windows of the station and of some private house next to it .

In the day police reinforcements arrived from Portoferraio and some stops were operated for  investigations on the case. The gesture, rash and surely coming from an unsound mind, has caused vivid indignation among the population who was deeply shocked and hurt, and wanted to express, through us, its regret towards Marshal Pellegrini commander of the local police station , who having recently arrived in Rio Marina , has been able to conquer in a short time the respect and sympathy of the entire population .
