Description of Seccheto beach
The beach of Seccheto is characterized by fine granite sand and it overlooks a lovely bay facing south. In time, the cove has collected the quartzose grains brought by the ditch of Vallebuia, which came from the quarries of the homonymous valley, giving birth to a sandy beach just below Mount Capanne (1019 meters), a huge granite mountain which protects the bay from all the northern winds.
The atmosphere here is casual and quiet, suitable especially for families. Seccheto offers also a series of smooth granite rocks, suitable for sunbathing and swimming, especially on the western side, where there are the popular Piscine (natural pools), frequented by nudists.
Access to the beach of Seccheto
From the main road that runs through the village, it is easy to reach the shore, simply walk down a couple of narrow streets that lead to the beach. It is advisable to park the car along the provincial road and then walk down to the beach as there are no parkings. The cliffs of Piscine (natural pools) can be reached via a walking path that starts a few hundred meters along the main road from the village of Seccheto.
