LITTLE MINE TOURS: The complete tour takes about an hour where it is possible to tour a reproduction of an old mine. The Etruscan Mineral Museum and finish at the Artisan Laboratory where free samplings of typical Elban products are offered. Included are Aleatico (a sweet red wine), honey and a sweet bread with nuts and raisins called schiacca briaca. All are available for purchase at very good prices.

THE LITTLE MINE: is located just outside the center of Porto Azzuro on the provincial road that leads to Rio Marina. Historical exhibits, old machinery typical to Elba strikingly assembled along a 250-meter path, offer the visit an educational underground experience. The mine tour last approximately 15 minutes and is conducted by way of an original small train from Elba's old mines (departure every 30 minutes). The train stops at different points along the way and provides thorough explanations in several European languages. Each visitor receives a token souvenir.

ETRUSCAN MINE MUSEUM TOUR (15 MIN)
Inside the museum it is possible to admire a rare collection of Elban minerals, a model faithfully reproducing a typical mining scene, all of which is surrounded by Etruscan drawings and objects. A video and an attendant offer comprehensive explanations on the Etruscan presence on Elba.

ARTISAN LABORATORY
By request it is possible to watch the various phases of stonework and to buy an object as soon as it's completed. Also on exhibit and for sale is a vast collection of uncut minerals of varying shapes and quality. Above the laboratory is a show room filled with costume jewelry, cut stones mounted in silver and 18K gold, mineral stones of shapes and sizes, all fruits of many years of study as well our own labor. It is also possible to order custom made pieces of jewelry.
